DEV SRC-S09 is a specialized alumina-based, iron oxide–promoted catalyst designed for Sulphur Recovery Units (SRUs). It functions as a protective guard layer, strategically loaded on top of the main Claus catalyst bed. Its primary role is to scavenge excess oxygen from the feed stream, effectively preventing the sulphation of downstream catalysts. With excellent physical strength, high surface area, and inherent resistance to sulphation, DEV SRC-S09 extends the on-stream period while enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of Claus reaction systems.
